Privacy Policy

What we collect when you make and pay for a wedding invitation, who helps us process it, when it's deleted and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy explains how Shaadi Invitation collects, uses, stores and deletes information when you use shaadiinvitation.com — from designing a draft to sharing a paid invitation link with your guests.

In short

  • Your draft stays on your device until you get your link.
  • Paid invitations are stored on our servers and deleted 30 days after the wedding.
  • Payments go through Razorpay — we never see your card or UPI PIN.
  • No analytics or ad tags on invitation pages, and we never sell your data.

1.Who we are

Shaadi Invitation (shaadiinvitation.com) is run by an individual based in India. It is not a company. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the person who runs Shaadi Invitation, and "you" means the couple or family member making an invitation, or anyone visiting the site. Our contact details are at the end of this page.

2.Information we collect

While you design and preview. No account is needed. The details you type are saved in your browser's storage on your own device, so your draft is still there when you come back. They are not sent to us while you design and preview.

When you get your link. At checkout, your invitation is sent to our servers so it can be published. That includes:

  • the bride's and groom's names and family names
  • each function's date, time, venue name, address, Google Maps link and whether it's held at home
  • the family phone numbers you choose to show, and your welcome, closing and "our story" messages
  • the design you picked and the link address you chose (for example rahul-weds-priya)
  • a preview picture made from your names and date, which WhatsApp shows when the link is shared

We also collect your mobile number, your email address if you give one, and the order details: the design, the amount, the Razorpay order and payment IDs, whether the order was paid or refunded, and when.

Payment details. You pay on Razorpay's secure checkout. Your card number, UPI PIN and bank login go to Razorpay, not to us — we only receive confirmation of whether the payment succeeded and its payment ID.

When guests open an invitation. We count how many times each invitation is opened — a number only. We don't collect guests' names or numbers, and we don't run analytics or advertising tags on couples' invitation pages or on the private edit page.

On the rest of the site. Our analytics and advertising tools (see who we share it with) collect technical information such as your device and browser, approximate location from your IP address, the pages you visit, and how you use them — including clicks, scrolling and taps.

If you contact us. We receive your email address (or phone number) and your message, and use them to reply.

3.How we use your information

  • To publish your invitation on your link and show it to the guests you share it with
  • To make the Google Maps directions, one-tap call buttons and WhatsApp preview picture work
  • To take your payment, keep a record of it and handle refunds
  • To let you edit your invitation through your private edit link
  • To contact you about your order — for example, if a payment needs checking or you've asked for help
  • To understand how the site is used, fix problems and measure whether our ads work
  • To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet our legal obligations

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't use the phone numbers on your invitation for anything except showing them on it.

4.Who can see your invitation

An invitation is made to be shared. It isn't listed anywhere on Shaadi Invitation and we ask search engines not to show invitation pages, but anyone who has the link can open it, and links can be forwarded — just like any other link sent on WhatsApp.

Only include phone numbers and addresses you are comfortable sharing with your guests and with the people they might forward the invitation to, and make sure the people whose numbers you list are happy to be included.

Keep your private edit link to yourselves: anyone who has it can change the invitation. We store it only in a scrambled (hashed) form, so we can't see it either. If you lose it, contact us from the mobile number you paid with — we'll issue a new edit link, send it only to that number, and the old one will stop working.

5.Who we share it with

We use a few trusted services to run Shaadi Invitation. Each one only gets what it needs:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the website and stores invitations, orders and preview pictures (its database and file storage). It also processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
  • Razorpay — processes payments by UPI, card and net banking, under its own privacy policy and the rules for Indian payment providers.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads — tell us how people use the site and whether our ads lead to sign-ups. When you buy, we send Google the order value, the design chosen and an anonymous browser ID.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — measures our ads. When you buy, we send Meta the order value and the design chosen, with a scrambled (hashed) copy of your mobile number and email address and your IP address and browser details, so Meta can match the purchase to an ad. Meta may link this to a Facebook or Instagram account you have.
  • Microsoft Clarity — shows us how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and session recordings) so we can fix confusing parts.
  • Google Fonts — our pages load typefaces from Google, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Google Maps and WhatsApp — open only when someone taps the directions or share buttons. Their own privacy policies apply.

Analytics and advertising tools never run on couples' invitation pages or the private edit page, which carry family names and phone numbers. We may also share information if the law requires it, for example with a court or the police.

Some of these providers store and process data on servers outside India. We use well-known providers with strong security, and we share only what each service needs.

6.How long we keep it

  • Your draft: on your own device, until you clear this site's data in your browser.
  • Checkouts you don't finish: the invitation details sent at checkout are deleted within about a day.
  • Published invitations: your link stays live until 30 days after the wedding date (the date of the last function on your invitation). After that, the invitation — including the family phone numbers and the preview picture — is deleted from our servers automatically, usually within a few days. If a payment is refunded, the invitation is deleted in the same way.
  • Payment records: the order and Razorpay payment IDs, the amount, design and date, and the mobile number and email used at checkout are kept after the invitation is deleted — for accounting, tax and refunds, and for as long as Indian tax and accounting rules require. They don't include your invitation.
  • Emails you send us: kept as long as we need them to help you.
  • Analytics data: kept by Google, Meta and Microsoft under their own retention settings.

7.Cookies and browser storage

Browser storage keeps your draft on your device while you design. It isn't a tracking cookie and isn't sent to us.

Analytics and advertising cookies are set by Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity on our main pages — including the editor, preview and checkout — but never on couples' invitation pages or the edit page. They help us count visitors and measure our ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or change your ad settings in your Google and Meta accounts. The invitation editor keeps working if you block them.

8.How we protect it

The site runs over HTTPS, payment details stay with Razorpay, edit links are stored only in scrambled form, and access to stored invitations and orders is limited to the person who runs Shaadi Invitation. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep what you share safe.

9.Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • correct it — or correct your invitation yourself through your private edit link
  • delete your invitation and take its link down before the wedding
  • stop using your information for analytics or advertising

Email [email protected] from the address you used, or include your invitation link and the mobile number used at checkout, so we can check it's you. We aim to reply within 2 working days. Deleting an invitation early doesn't by itself give a refund — see the Cancellation & Refund Policy. Payment records we must keep by law can't be deleted until that period ends.

10.Children's privacy

Shaadi Invitation is meant for adults (18+) making wedding invitations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's information has been added, please contact us and we will remove it.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Shaadi Invitation changes. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page, and we will point out important changes on the site.

12.Contact and grievances

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact us. You can also read our Terms of Use.

Grievance Officer: [email protected]. We aim to reply within 2 working days and to resolve complaints within 15 days.
